Caitlin Mae Smith began her early years as an elite gymnast, eventually competing at the collegiate level on a full-ride athletic scholarship to Louisiana State University.

After a career-ending injury, she transitioned into the role of team manager, an experience that sparked her interest in professional group management, leadership development, organizational coordination, and social media.

Growing up in a family of creatives—parents who owned an event-planning business and a brother gifted in the arts—Caitlin was immersed in imaginative work from a young age. Her passion for graphic design flourished as she took on projects for her parents’ company, creating posters, logos, and specialty graphics.

In 2023, Caitlin earned her degree in Public Relations and Textiles, Apparel, and Merchandising and began her professional career as an intern at Alta Moda Communications, a fashion PR firm specializing in celebrity dressing. There, she worked with renowned luxury brands such as Moschino, Alberta Ferretti, Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini, Etro, Missoni, David Yurman, Casadei, FENDI, and Schiaparelli.

Following her internship, Caitlin joined a high-end Italian-made shoe company, starting as an assistant to the CEO and ultimately becoming the Head of Marketing within 2 years. Over the course of her role, she developed expertise in photography, styling, social media management, creative direction, photoshoot production, and graphic design.

After gaining extensive industry experience, Caitlin felt called to use her skills to support small businesses, brands, and personal creative visions. And from that passion, Cait Creates It was born.
